Jason Beghe’s Hank Voight, who has starred since the series began in 2014 as a dirty cop with good deeds, remains the linchpin of the dramatic action in Chicago PD. well known to his peers and to the criminals trying to escape his grasp.
Before donning his police badge and uniform, Beghe was best known for appearing in hit films like Thelma & Louise (1991) and GI Jane (1997). He made his acting debut in the 1985 film Comromising Positions and has since starred in over 100 acting roles, from guest spots on Murder, She Wrote (1989-1990) and The X-Files (1998) to The X-Files (1998). a role in the superhero franchise reboot X-Men: First Class (2011).
Hank Voight is his best-known role, but Beghe has been just as prolific off-screen. A notable public figure in the Scientology community, he spoke out against their methods of indoctrination in 2015. In an interview with Rolling Stone, he spoke of his appearance in the documentary Going Clear: “I found what I could do to be myself, so I took fearless stock… At that point, I realized that Scientology wasn’t me was.”
