Voight’s Greatest One-Liners On Chicago P.D.

Read Time:1 Minute, 8 Second

Hank Voight can be quite sassy when he feels like it, and it would be a crime not to include the one-liners that showcase that unforgettable sass in this list. Sure, fans love listening to his ashen voice deliver violent threats to Chicago’s worst villains. But they also love to hear him use giggly zingers that make up for their lack of violence with seriously brutal wit.

In season six’s “The Forgotten,” Voight interrogates Tony (Tevion Lanier), a suspect who may have something to do with the murder of one of Voight’s longtime informants. Tony was obviously a less than talented delinquent in his youth and should probably find new employment, according to Voight. “You did three stretches for burglary,” Voight chides. “You’re not a very good criminal, Tony.” Ouch.

As a Twitter user Say it: “Voight is so sassy it’s scary.” In fact, that sharp joke is just another thing that makes Voight an intimidating guy. While some of his bolder one-liners can be breaks in the seemingly endless stream of aggressive threats he throws around, even Voight’s understated jokes have bite. Telling Tony he’s bad at breaking the law is funny, but it doesn’t make him any less menacing, especially since it’s delivered in a stressful situation. If anything, it might make him a little more menacing.
