In a new interview with ScreenRant, ‘Stranger Things 4’ star Joseph Quinn revealed the best of his time on the hit series. After noting that his favorite aspect of the gig was the ensemble scenes with the rest of the cast, he confirmed that the highlight was exactly what you might expect: that incredible guitar sequence in the season finale. To lure the creatures of Upside Down away from their friends, Eddie and Dustin (Gate Matarazzo) perform a spirited rendition of the Metallica song “Master of Puppets” at a trailer. “I would say the highlight was probably the Metallica sequence,” Quinn said, “just because it was so much fun.”

The Metallica scene was a highlight not only for Quinn, but also for many viewers. Metallica even took to social media to share their love for the scene, sharing it in a post on Instagram with a caption that read, in part, “The way the Duffer Brothers incorporated music into Stranger Things was always been next level. We were over the moon that they not only brought ‘Master of Puppets’ into the show, but that such a central scene was built around it.” Of course, the band has a reason to push themselves beyond mere fandom be happy. Just like “Stranger Things” featured Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” in the first half of Season 4, the inclusion of “Master of Puppets” on the show has resulted in the song topping the Spotify charts in skyrocketed his first release of 1986.

As for Quinn, he reveled in the opportunity to show off his guitar shredding skills, saying, “The whole time I was like, ‘I’ll never be able to do something cool like this again. It is, so make the most of it.”
