The Only Supernatural Character To Appear In Every Episode

The Winchester brothers are the heart and soul of “Supernatural” who literally go to hell and back for each other. But Sam gets a little more screen time than his sibling. While Ackles and Padalecki appear in every episode of the show, only the character of Sam can claim the same.

The brothers appeared nearly every episode of “Supernatural”. But that all changed in the season 14 premiere, Stranger in a Strange World. “Supernatural” is full of physical possessions, and some characters, like the angel Castiel (Misha Collins), occupy another person’s body. In the season 14 premiere, Dean’s body is invaded by the angel Michael, and not once during the runtime does Dean regain control. So while Ackles gets a lot of screen time, the character of Dean is technically absent.

In some episodes of “Supernatural,” Padalecki had less screen time than Dean — for example, when Dean’s time travels to the future. Sam also became obsessed with others, and there were times when Padalecki played alternate versions of Sam, but there is never an entire episode without Sam.
