The Fear The Walking Dead Scene That Always Gives Fans The Creeps

Read Time:1 Minute, 15 Second

In the first season of Fear the Walking Dead, the show focused on providing context for the zombie outbreak and giving fans a glimpse of how it began. The new cast of characters like Madison Clark (Kim Dickens) had no idea what was to come, but viewers knew better. It was all the more disturbing when the first episode featured some of the earliest walkers, such as the one wandering through a park that Madison drove past – a moment Redditor u/Maxispierre and many others still find incredibly disturbing in their thread about it find these years later.

Ironically, the series writers enjoyed exploring this sense of dread of what is to come and the oblivion of the Fear the Walking Dead characters. As co-creator Dave Erickson explained back at San Diego Comic-Con (via Collider) back in 2015, it’s something The Walking Dead has never really had to grapple with since it’s set so far into the apocalypse. “It becomes a process of discovery, and then when these characters actually have to inflict violence on someone, the context is going to be jarring. They’re swimming in a lot of confusion, a lot of fear, which for us (as writers) is really fun,” he said.

Though some recommend skipping entire seasons of the show, there are still plenty of reasons to watch Fear the Walking Dead. For one, if you’re interested in a good scare, you should definitely check it out.
