If it’s a “Chicago” show, just know that the ending will feature fireworks that will endanger at least one of the characters. The Chicago Med Season 7 finale is no exception, and the season ends with Halstead and Dr. Dylan Scott (Guy Lockard) are stuck in a burning building, seemingly hopeless.
As long-time viewers no doubt know, this isn’t necessarily the sort of situation where the characters will simply escape when the next season begins. Killing off characters in the season finale is actually something of a time-honored franchise tradition, which is why Chicago Fire actor Joe Minoso says the finale always worries One Chicago stars.
Of course, it’s worth noting that neither Halstead nor Scott actually meet their fate in the episode, so at least they’re living for another episode. On the other hand, characters like Otis (Yuriy Sardarov) from Chicago Fire are known to face mortal danger in a season finale and only perish in the following season’s premiere, so maybe fans should be concerned.
