The finale of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law involved a nearly full episode-long fourth wall break. Just as things were starting to get intense, with Jen spotting a She Hulk hate group and Bruce returning from space, she turned to the screen and asked viewers if the show was really going to end like this. She then broke through her own Disney+ icon and headed onto the Marvel Studios lot to speak with the writers. She even encountered the AI bot KEVIN, who is said to control everything in the MCU. Of course, this is a nod to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.
During a recent chat that Tatiana Maslany had with Comic Book about the finale, she explained that she was just as surprised to see KEVIN show up as fans were likely to be. “I didn’t expect it at all. When it burst from the Disney+ platform, I was blown away,” she explained. “And then this conversation with KEVIN where she’s happily reclaiming her history and realigning herself as the leading lady of her own life and kind of keeping it really simple and low key.”
Interestingly, Jessica Gao, the head writer of “She-Hulk,” even told ComicBook podcast Phase Zero that she originally intended KEVIN to be a tuxedo-wearing, martini-drinking heartthrob, much like someone like George Clooney.
It’s unclear where and when Maslany’s She-Hulk might appear next in the MCU.
