According to a Variety report, Sonia Denis is joining the cast of Disney+’s Ironheart. What Denis could play is not known. Other actors also play mysterious roles, including Alden Ehrenreich.
Denis doesn’t just have a background in acting. She was previously a writer on shows like Guilty Party and A Black Lady Sketch Show, the latter of which earned her an Emmy nomination, per IMDb. On the acting side, she has acted in films such as Set It Up and has done voice work on the series BoJack Horseman and Birdgirl.
Reports on Denis’ casting don’t mention her dual work as a cast member and writer on Ironheart, but it might not be out of the question. Chinaka Hodge was previously announced as the executive writer for the production, and the six-episode season will be split in terms of direction by Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes via Gizmodo. Coogler teased that Ironheart could be a worthy replacement for Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.).
“I remember when Riri was invented in publishing and there was a commotion around her. It was similar to Miles Morales’ invention.
