In the anime TV adaptation of One Piece, The War For Wano is on pause. Instead, the TV show takes the opportunity to delve into the past of Monkey D. Luffy and Uta, the ultimate diva who also happens to be the daughter of Red-Haired Shanks.
The special episodes will feature a new opening that has surfaced online in addition to this new storyline linked to One Piece Film: Red.
The special One Piece opening
The new One Piece opening theme can be seen below, combining fresh scenes from current episodes with those from the upcoming film, which has already debuted in Japanese theaters and will hit theaters around the world later this year:
Although Uta made her debut in this film, she actually has strong ties to One Piece’s past. As a previous preview revealed, she and Luffy have known each other since they were little because she is the estranged daughter of powerful pirate commander Red-Haired Shanks. While Uta will have a significant role in the latest One Piece movie, it’s not yet known if Shanks’ daughter will have a role in the series’ final arc, although her father has appeared in the latest chapters of the manga. The movie teaser hints at the mysterious nature of Shanks and his motivation for leaving his child unattended. Several Marines are also depicted in the trailer, suggesting that they may also be involved in the conflict surrounding Uta, although the identity of the film’s main antagonist is still unknown.
The One Piece manga recently broke its own world record.
One Piece breaks its own world record due to its long running time. Guinness World Records gave the popular manga series a new certificate for beating its previous record for “most-published comic book series by a single author.” The official One Piece Twitter account posted this announcement. According to the tweet, One Piece has sold more than 500 million copies worldwide. The series had distributed 320,866,000 copies at the time of its previous record set for 2014 at the time.
The final arc of One Piece takes place, although the anime and manga have already released more than 1,000 episodes and chapters of seafaring exploits. After freeing Wano from the oppressive Yonko Kaidou, Luffy and the Straw Hats move to a new island in search of the last Street Poneglyph.
The directions to Laugh Tale, the last island of the Grand Line and the final resting place of One Piece, are contained in these four red poneglyphs. However, he is not the only pirate looking for the legendary treasure. Eustass Kidd and Trafalgar D. Water Law, fellow pirates from The Worst Generation, the dreaded Yonkos, Blackbeard and Shanks are also on the hunt.
