Rebels Fans Are Worried Obi-Wan Kenobi Part II Just Broke Canon

It’s a moment that’s got a lot of fans talking online, especially the Star Wars Rebels crowd.

“Um, wait a minute, did Reva just notice the Grand Inquisitor?” wrote Redditor u/gothflyboi, prompting almost 2,000 upvotes. “I literally leveled up just to see what people think of it because we definitely know his ultimate destiny, but it’s definitely not that early,” u/I_Am_Sam13 replied. Another Redditor named u/Kvothe_the_kingkilla asked, “I mean he can’t be dead, that’s before ‘Rebels’ right?”

After being ordered out of his way by the Grand Inquisitor at the end of Obi-Wan Kenobi Part II, Moses Ingram’s Reva decides to make her best Sith Lord impression on her big bad boss – knock him out with her lightsaber and eventually takes his place in the hunt for Obi-Wan Kenobi. In “Rebels,” the Grand Inquisitor doesn’t even come close, choosing instead to end his own life after losing a lightsaber duel to Jedi Knight Kanan Jarrus (Freddie Prinze Jr.).

“There are some things far scarier than death,” says the Inquisitor in “Rebels,” just before he takes a fatal fall (per StarWars.com). He was so concerned about what Darth Vader would do to him after finding out he had lost to Kanan that the Inquisitor ultimately chose to die instead. But in Obi-Wan Kenobi, we get a very different story.
