Sony has pumped out adjacent “Spider-Man” properties in recent years for reasons definitely unrelated to their desperate attempt to hold on to their shared character rights with Marvel. And now we have the latest entry in this questionable canon: “Morbius”. The story of dr. Michael Morbius (played by Jared Leto, who is no stranger to comic book films at this point), a doctor with a rare blood disorder who can only cure himself by turning into a living vampire, is one of those that basically nobody asked for – but what a shame! Do not worry! Sony will make Morbius a thing!
