Mindy Kaling Once Played The Most Sly Prank On B.J. Novak On The Office

According to Screen Rant, BJ Novak said, “She once told me on ‘The Office’ that there was a director who did an episode of one of my scripts and I didn’t particularly like the way it was directed, not a big one thing, but Mindy said that [the director] used to date Greg.”

Novak continued, “Then Greg said, ‘What do you think of her as a director?’ And I said, ‘Yes, she was good!’ So we hired her again, but I should have said, ‘Not my favorite director.’ And later I said to him, ‘You used to date her, right?’ And he said, ‘What are you talking about?’”

How did the actress react to her successful prank? “[Kaling] never pretended to catch me it was just a private joke even purer. I have to admire the comedian who doesn’t need an audience, just her and God,” he added.
