If you’ve been an anime fan for some time then you probably know the names in the title. Especially when you watch Spy x Family, Attack on Titan, Naruto and Demon Slayer.

These four companies are giants in the anime industry, and they’re working together to transform things. Everyone hopes for success, because without animators there is no anime.

Because without directors, screenwriters, character designers, musicians, CGI artists and much more, there is no anime. Some projects can be done with one person.

Video games showed us it’s possible, but one person doesn’t make most anime. If you look up your favorite anime, you’ll find that there’s a production company, animation studios, and more.

It’s safe to assume that your favorite anime is only possible through an army of humans. But in most companies, these people aren’t paid enough for their work.

WIT STUDIO, CloverWorks, Aniplex and Shueisha are trying to change that with their new company Joen.
