Since Irish Wish is the second film in Lindsay Lohan’s two-picture deal with Netflix, we don’t know exactly when the film will be released just yet. The deal’s first film, Falling for Christmas, is just around the corner; However, the streamer is scheduled to release on November 10th. It also stars “Glee” breakout Chord Overstreet as the lodge owner who takes care of Lohan, a spoiled, engaged heiress after an accident left her amnesia. Lohan also told Forbes that Falling for Christmas promises to have new music by Lohan. And fear not, once that film is out, Irish Wish will follow soon after, likely in early or mid-2023.
Filming on the new project took place between September 5 and October 14 in the Irish cities of Mayo, Wicklow and Dublin, according to Western People. Co-Producer Michael Damian tweeted about shooting on September 7th and a Lohan fan account divided a short video of the star in the makeup trailer.
Lohan is excited about working on these romcoms and told Forbes why working with Netflix clicked. “I felt like the romantic comedies had unraveled a bit, and I really miss them,” she said, reminding readers that that was her forte when she first started. “I really want to bring that back as best as I can. I also think self-discovery for women in films is a great thing in a lighthearted, fun and light-hearted way,” she added. “That’s the focus.”
