In the E! In a news article, Jonathan Majors added to his description of lots of meat and rice: “Eat a lot, pray a lot, sweat a lot, lift a lot, stretch a lot, sleep a lot.” As he said in an interview with the New York Times said of his boxing training for “Creed III,” Majors was “just fight, eat, and work.”

As for stretching and sleeping, that’s a little harder to pin down. A website that specializes in analyzing celebrity workouts has posited a possible stretching routine that will help keep his muscles loose and ready for further building. Obviously, to stick to such a sustained heavy training schedule, he would have to stretch, warm up, and cool down quite a bit. And it’s well documented that sleep is essential to a heavy workout.

As for the prayer side, Majors was raised by his mother, a Christian pastor. But his acting has prompted him to expand his spirituality. A 2020 GQ article describes a performance dance major he pursued in film school: “The goal, he learned, was to achieve a quality that is Balinese reputation taksu, a kind of artistic radiance of the soul. According to Hindu teachings taksu was the essence left behind by the gods when they left the island of Bali. ‘It’s very like the Holy Spirit,'” Majors said. The GQ article spells out his religious devotion, saying that Majors “read the Qur’an and the Torah and appreciated the Hindu and Buddhist teachings. [but] Christianity remains what he calls ‘my template, my first encyclopedia’.”
