While Steve-O occasionally hops back into the “Jackass” circle, he’s more regularly involved with his podcast, Steve-O’s Wild Ride!. In episode 100 he had his sister on the show to talk about all things growing up with a kid like Steve-O. She dove into a story that included some of the books readily available when she needed to go to the bathroom one fateful day, including a quiz book where she learned a fascinating tidbit about how one of the few colleges in the country has no fees teaches is Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Clown College.
The only problem at that point was that the Albuquerque auditions were already over (Steve-O was living in New Mexico at the time), but his sister encouraged him to go to Denver, Colorado to do those auditions. He found a way and amazingly it was accepted. According to Whalebone Magazine, out of 3,000 applicants that year, only 33 made it, including Steve-O. Steve-O didn’t get a clown contract, so he moved back to New Mexico with his sister after classes were over. But thankfully, it didn’t take long for him to find his true calling.
