Grab some popcorn and some poo bags, Damien Leone’s original “Terrifier” is streaming free on several different platforms. Roku users can access the film through their free Roku channel (which is also accessible to anyone with a computer). It’s also currently streaming on Freevee, Amazon’s free, ad-based streaming platform (separate from their VOD service and Prime Video). This comes with an unfortunate downside – watching the movie for free on any platform will most likely come with breaks from advertisers.
Redbox and Plex both stream the movie for free, but both services require you to sift through ads fairly frequently. Tubi appears to be ad-free overall, but they may turn on automatically once you start viewing. If you want to be sure your viewing experience is uninterrupted, you can rent the film for $2.99 through Google Play and YouTube. It’s also available direct from most VOD services for under $10 – being ultimately independent cinema there are certainly worse ways to spend your money.
Terrifier 2 is now in select theaters.
