Demon Slayer Nezuko figure, Tanjiro figure is a naked horror from Mexico
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba figures range from masterpieces to bizarrely horrific qualities. Here are the best (and worst) of the Nezuko statues… and I think we’ll cover the worst first.
Demon Slayer’s Tanjiro Kamado has to invent a new breathing technique to exorcise my eyes after seeing this abomination. This new Demon Slayer character has struck terror into my soul, but more out of disgust than fear.
The Tanjiro figure looks like the Demon Slayer’s corpsman has an encounter with a head-shrinking demon. Tanjiro’s eyes pop out and look in all directions. His body is twisted and misshapen like a melting wax doll.
In her right hand, the Tanjiro character appears to be holding a scythe, which is probably trying (very poorly) to mimic the special effects of the water-breathing sculpting technique. This Tanjiro figurine even managed to mess up his main katana again, which is sure to have swordsmith Hotaru Haganezuka chasing Tanjiro through all of creation!
The box set includes a tiny and adorable Demon Slayer Nezuko figure. Tanjiro’s sister is probably the only saving grace for this Demon Slayer figure set, as she can get out of the detachable stretcher that Tanjiro usually carries when traveling. Even then, the wooden box’s proportions are wrong, with Smol Nezuko sitting too high on Tanjiro’s shoulders.
At least the price of the Demon Slayer Tanjiro figure isn’t scary
Made of plastic, the Tanjiro figure is 28 cm (or about 11 inches) tall, which means it’s roughly 1/6th scale. It currently sells for 394 Mexican pesos, which is around $18. Mercado Libre ships for free (but is it worth the price for the damage to your soul?).
The Demon Slayer Figure Box Set includes:
- 1 Tanjiro character
- 2 swords
- 1 transport box
- 1 Nezuko character
- 1 box
The product description has the gall to claim it’s the “best option on the market” stating “Because it’s an excellent quality product at the lowest price on the market and we’re sending you a totally FREE gift.”
If you have a serious case of nom-noms, or have a friend who happens to chew on stuff like Inosuke, then don’t worry as it’s non-toxic and “none of our products can cause harm if ingested.”
But you’re more likely to throw the Tanjiro figure across the room in disgust. Even then, “the product is of excellent quality, so you can play with it without worrying about it falling or breaking.”
