According to Dawn Olivieri, her “Yellowstone” character is informed and represented by real-world experiences she actually went through. “I lived that reality in my real life where I did this to guys,” she told ET last year. “I’m going to use my experience and sense of a mental landscape and maybe build a mental framework that will allow them to climb up there and see life, see their situation differently,” Olivieri explained. “But the second they have to take a step, it tips over because I built it, not him.”
When it comes to Jamie and Sarah Atwood’s dynamic, Olivieri says it’s also something she portrays through life experiences. She told ET, “I just do it like I would do it to a man in real life. If he has a desire and I have a desire, I will bring these two together and see if we can both get what we want. But who says what happens here?”
In early January, Paramount announced that “Yellowstone” would be on hiatus until the summer of 2023 (via Decider). Six more episodes are currently planned for the second half of season five, along with tons of drama surrounding Jamie and Sarah’s relationship and their quest to tear the Duttons apart. Until then, people will only have to speculate as to what troubles she has up her sleeve. “My poker face is the best you will see,” Olivieri told TV Guide.
