Speaking to Dread Central alongside co-star Monique Kim about the experience filming “They/Them,” Darwin Del Fabro admitted there was one thing he didn’t like about the experience — the handling of early ones Call times outdoors and very cool weather. “I’m in the cold in my underwear in two scenes in this movie and that was a big challenge,” he admitted. Scenes were shot at 5am at sunrise and edited for the film to resemble sunset. Despite being filmed in Georgia, the location could be quite chilly this early in the day, causing Del Fabro to struggle with the conditions. He also had another scene to shoot at 2am in those cold temperatures.

How did he survive? He admitted cheering himself up by pretending the lake was actually warm and conditions much milder than they were.

Kim admitted he felt bad for Del Fabro as he shuddered through filming several scenes in the lake. “He really needed to act that day – we felt so bad – he was literally shaking!” said Kim. “Does his own stunts there.” At the end of the day, it sounds like a story that ultimately empowers so many was worth telling.
