The song “A Battle Song” leaves Chainsaw Man hopeful

Chainsaw Man Episode 12 started with the Ghost Devil strangling Aki until Ghost suddenly stops and one of his many hands gives Aki a cigarette with the words “Easy Revenge” written on it. When Himeno died, did she become one of Ghost’s hands?

In the past, Himeno gave Aki an important tip about the spirit devil, stating that he cannot see, he can only see fear. Aki is able to bury his fear of the devil and easily kill him. Meanwhile, Power and Denji are in an elevator on their way to Katana Man. Midway Power gets distracted by a group of zombies and decides to attack them.

Denji continues on his way until he meets Katana Man. A bitter fight ensues between the two. Just when it looks like Katana Man might have the upper hand, Denji continues to fight using only the chainsaw on his head. But in the end that was just a misdirection and he actually used a chainsaw on his leg to cut Katana Man in half.

Later, Aki and Denji hold a special nutcracker tournament to give Himeno the requiem she deserves.

The ending video started playing the song “A Battle Song” in the background and showed a nice glimpse of everyday life Denji, Aki and Power enjoy together. Denji has a “found family” in Aki and Power. In the video, you can see Aki taking care of Power and Denji when he smiles at their antics. This is the perfect ending video for Chainsaw Man Season 1 because it recognizes the fans’ love for the main characters. The song “A Battle Song” exits the series on a hopeful note, but this is truly the calm before the storm.

Aki smokes the special cigarette that Himeno left behind. Denji has a recurring dream in which Pochita warns him not to “open the door”. And at the very end, a mysterious girl makes a comment: “Denji, country mouse and city mouse, which do you like better?”
