You have to give it to Yoru. Even after being separated from Asa for several days, she never loses sight of her goals.
But Chainsaw Man Chapter 118 leaves us with questions and hints that we will finally see Nayuta! And the Chainsaw Man fanboy, formerly known as Fake Chainsaw Man, overhears a private conversation between Asa and Denji.
Does he follow them or just one?
Does Denji like Asa?
I loved Chainsaw Man Chapter 117. Yoru is back with Asa, they kick Eternity Devil’s butt and Yoru is trying to turn Denji into a sword!
It just doesn’t work, which creates some interesting moments. At first, Denji thinks Asa is playing with him and puts his hand on her head and says: Asa Spinal Sword!
Then Yoru reveals that her feelings and Asa’s are connected. Before they go home, Asa questions Yoru about Fami.
Yoru says she hasn’t seen and recognized Fami for a long time. And Asa should avoid her because she’s crazy.
But it’s certain that Famine won’t keep his distance. Yoru soon passes out and Asa tries to figure out what happened between her and Denji.
Doesn’t he like her even though he asked on another date? Or is something else at play here? Since Denji is a hybrid and Chainsaw Man ate parts of Yoru’s body, he may be immune to Yoru’s weapon switching abilities.
But Asa doesn’t know that and thinks that she hates Denji. So Denji approaches Asa at school and invites her to the cinema.
There’s a sale and they can watch as many mummy movies as they want all night long! However, Asa is still confused about how Denji feels about her and suggests that renting movies would be cheaper.
Denji agrees and asks Asa if she has a VCR. She doesn’t and asks Denji if he has one. Denji does, but he doesn’t want Asa to come.
Return of the Control Devil!
Asa is willing to call off the date, but Denji relents. She can come by as long as she abides by the house rules.
It’s rare for Denji to get serious, so we know he means business. But Asa doesn’t understand why he’s making a big deal out of it.
And asks what happens if she breaks the rules. Denji says she’s going to die, and we see that the President of the Devil Hunter Club overheard her.
Whether he follows one or both. We can see Denji sweating in the panel above and we know how strong Makima was.
But the big question is how strong is Nayuta? Or are we being misled, and is there another reason why Denji insists on making sure Asa knows the rules?
We didn’t see Nayuta much in Part 1. And fans were hoping to see her in action in part 2.
But what happens when Famine invites herself over so she can “help” Asa? And will the Death Devil make its debut anytime soon?
