Aside from the issues surrounding Stella Kidd’s wounds, another storyline in Something for the Pain involves Sylvie Brett setting up a device that allows for the safe replacement of abandoned children. Retaining a massive box that requires significant assembly, this heated and elevated box is the next technological step in simply leaving an abandoned baby in a basket on your doorstep. In addition to being heated, this safe-current box is equipped with a piercing alarm that lets the members of the “Chicago Fire” know that a baby has been placed in their care.
Near the end of the episode, the baby box’s plugged-in alarm goes off, causing Sylvie and her staff to react immediately and rush to the box, only to discover a delivery order consisting of a burrito. Confused, it then turns out that Harold Capp (Randy Flagler) had ordered the item with instructions for the delivery driver to leave it in the “outer compartment”. This causes Sylvie to react quite angrily and throws Capp’s burrito in the trash, leading him to apologize and later retrieve the burrito from the trash. It was that moment that fans absolutely loved and they immediately took to social media to express their thoughts and feelings.
