Breathtaking Fan Art Imagines Sterling K. Brown As The Green Latern’s John Stewart

This Is Us actor Sterling K. Brown’s imagery as Green Lantern comes from the extremely talented Bosslogic, who has previously worked with the likes of DC and Marvel. The Australian-based artist is known for capitalizing on many popular superhero fan auditions and showing what famous actors would look like in specific roles. His play Green Lantern introduces Brown as fan favorite John Stewart and Janelle Monáe as Sojourner Mullein. Bosslogic even got a seal of approval in the comments from Marvel actor Dave Bautista, which the artist previously had introduced as DCEU’s curse.

DC Comics introduced John Stewart in 1972’s Green Lantern #87. He appeared in comics here and there over the next few decades, but gained popularity with the release of DC’s Justice League animated series in 2001. Stewart appeared as a founding member of the Justice League in the series and its sequel, Justice League Unlimited. In the comics, he has become the leader of the entire Green Lantern Corps and a huge fan-favorite character.

Warner Bros. has yet to feature Stewart in any of its live-action projects. Zack Snyder had plans to bring John Stewart into the Justice League with the actor Wayne T.Carr in the role, but eventually scrapped the idea. After some difficulties, the studio is re-developing the HBO Max series Green Lantern starring Stewart.
