Blue Bloods is an American police television drama that began airing on September 24, 2010 on the CBS channel. The concept of this series is that the Reagan family, an Irish-American Catholic family, lives in New York City and worked in law enforcement. The series is filmed in New York City, with many references to nearby suburbs. Storyline of the Blue Bloods television drama
The series follows the Reagans, a family of law enforcers with a long history. The police commissioner is Frank Reagan. Danny, Frank’s eldest son, is an NYPD detective, Jamie, an NYPD sergeant, and Erin, Frank’s daughter, is an assistant district attorney. Joe, Frank’s second son (although the series mistakenly credits him as the eldest in more recent episodes), was killed in the line of duty by a corrupt cop in events that occurred prior to the start of the series when he was involved in an FBI investigation into a group of corrupt Police officers known as the Blue Templars. Henry, Frank’s father, is a retired New York City Police Department police officer who rose to the rank of police commissioner.
