Netflix’s Big Mouth not only tackles some of teenage life’s most sensitive issues, it also harnesses the singing talents of the likes of John Mulaney, Jessi Klein and Maya Rudolph. Brandon Kyle Goodman, who plays several characters, adds to the pool of voice talent, most notably Walter the Love Bug. During an interview with Screenrant, Goodman spoke about Season 6 and how the kids will experience a refocused vulnerability as fans get to see more of the characters’ families and personal lives.

When discussing what fans can look forward to in Season 6 of Big Mouth, Goodman says, “I think you can expect the same irreverence … but also even more heart and vulnerability as we explore families.” That twist in the story makes sense given how much an adolescent’s home life influences their day-to-day experiences among their peers. “So many of our seasons have been just about the kids and them through puberty, but we’ve never really focused on how family affects that part of our lives,” he says. “It’s really cool to see that we’re engaging in these conversations as well.”

With adult audiences watching from home and certainly relating to so many of the terrifying situations in Big Mouth, it’s no surprise that the writers continue to take opportunities to delve into these unique character storylines branch. That’s why, as Variety reported, the show has already been extended through Season 7. Also, the spinoff series Human Resources, which focuses on supporting characters like Goodman’s Walter the Love Bug, has been renewed for a second season.
