President Trump’s spiritual advisor Paula White said that Jesus would have committed a sin and he “would not have been our Messiah” had he broken immigration laws.
White gave an interview with the Christian Broadcasting network after touring migrant detention facilities in Virginia, and was asked what biblical scriptures came to mind during her visit.
I think so many people have taken biblical scriptures out of context on this, to say stuff like, ‘Well, Jesus was a refugee,’ ” White told CBN. “And yes, he did live in Egypt for 3 1/2 years. But it was not illegal. If he had broke the law then he would have been sinful and he would not have been our Messiah.”
Ms. White is speaking out in support of stronger border laws and is seeking to use the Bible and Jesus to justify it. She says her visit helped strengthen her resolve to support President Trump on his mission.
While I recognize how well we are taking care of these children, I also recognize the situation,” she said. “We are talking about children that are being trafficked.”
You can see her interview below, where she makes the comments at the end of the segment.
