Trump Just Announced An Investigation Into Obama

President Donald Trump has a new legal strategy as Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation is calling for him to testify.

He’s now insisting (actually he’s demanding) that his Department of Justice, where he has appointed people to work for him, to launch an investigation into former President Obama and his administration.

Here’s what Trump tweeted out just a short while ago:

The only problem with this is the Department of Justice doesn’t take orders from the president, or at least they shouldn’t. That’s why Trump is having such a hard time trying to fire Mueller and Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein who oversees him. It could be seen as obstruction of justice.

Earlier in the morning the president went off on an even bigger tweet storm, insisting (again for the millionth time) that Mueller’s investigation was all a witch hunt, even though several indictments and guilty pleas into the Trump campaign have already been handed out.

Right now Trump has heard chatter that the FBI had an informant in his 2016 campaign but one of his attorney’s, Rudy Giuliani, admitted on television that they don’t know for sure it actually happened.

So, then, this must just be one big excuse to distract from the Mueller investigation.

“Here’s the issue that I really feel strongly about with this informant, if there is one. First of all, I don’t know for sure, nor does the President, if there really was. We’re told that,” the former New York City mayor said.

During the interview, Giuliani got angry when he was challenged with his own words. CNN’s Chris Cuomo did a good job taking him to account for this.
