Trump Appoints His Family’s Wedding Advisor, Who Lied About Having Law Degree, To Key Position

President Trump has appointed Lynne Patton, who helped arrange Eric Trump’s wedding, to a key position overseeing federal housing programs in New York.

Patton has been a longtime aide of Trump and now she will oversee the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in Region II, which encompasses New York and New Jersey. She’ll be in charge of billions of dollars in taxpayer money.

For the record – she has no experience in any of these matters. In addition to that – the law degree she claims to have earned in 2000 from Quinnipiac University School of Law in Connecticut (listed on her LinkedIn page) has been verified to be false. The registrar of the school Jim Benson said Patton only attended for two semesters but did not graduate. She also listed Yale University but HUD officials don’t know why. The other thing on her resume? She helped run the Eric Trump Foundation – a charity that is now under investigation by the state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman for its fundraising events at the Trump National Golf Club.

Before that, she was the family’s official “event planner.”

Her LinkedIn profile states:

“Responsible for organizing, executing and assisting with upscale events and celebrity golf tournaments. Handle celebrity talent acquisition for various marketing projects, philanthropic events and golf tournaments.”

Sounds like someone more than capable of running the biggest HUD office in the entire United States.
