Either Michael Cohen and President Trump are playing this perfectly, as in making people believe they hate each other, or Michael Cohen is legitimately upset and angry at the man currently sitting in the White House who he once said he’d take a bullet for.
Either way – there is a storm brewing.
Here’s the latest in the Cohen/Trump saga: Cohen spoke with Axio’s Jonathan Swan and refused to deny the allegation that he questions Trump’s character and fitness to be president.
Swan heard from friends of Cohen, and he is doing precisely that: “It’s one thing for him [Cohen] to be concerned about his suitability to be president,” a source familiar with Cohen’s thinking told me. “It’s quite another thing to be concerned about his [Trump’s] loyalty to his country.”
When I texted Cohen today he declined several opportunities to deny he made these comments to friends. He told me he “cannot comment about someone’s innuendo.” When I replied to Cohen that the sourcing was solid and would he like to contest the way I was characterizing his thinking, he, revealingly, would not do so, wrote Swan.
Trump is playing is part, too, or he is genuinely upset that Cohen has been recording their conversations. He tweeted out Saturday morning words that made it seem like he and Cohen were not on good speaking terms anymore.
“Inconceivable that the government would break into a lawyer’s office (early in the morning) – almost unheard of. Even more inconceivable that a lawyer would tape a client – totally unheard of & perhaps illegal. The good news is that your favorite President did nothing wrong!”
It was reported last month by ABC News that sources close to Cohen’s attorneys Stephen Ryan and Todd Harrison of the Washington and New York firm, McDermott, Will & Emery LLP, that Cohen is “likely” to flip on President Trump, as well as members of the Trump family.
Cohen is likely to cooperate with federal prosecutors in New York,” sources with ABC News said. They further stated: “This development, which is believed to be imminent, will likely hit the White House, family members, staffers and counsels hard.”
If this is true, that would explain the public back and forth between Trump and Cohen going on right now.
If Cohen does flip, he might do so in a number of ways. It was reported on Friday by Reverend Al Sharpton that he might have some juicy details to reveal.
Just spent an hour w/ Michael Cohen, Trump’s former attorney. I bet you’re wondering what we could be talking about! Stay tuned

The unfortunate thing is, we don’t know yet because everyone seems to be posturing.
In addition to all of this, it’s being reported there are more tapes that Cohen has of Trump.
Here’s Michael Avenatti, after having met up with Cohen at a bar in New York:
“I know for a fact that this is not the only tape,” Avenatti said. “I think this is a very serious matter and I think that any or all audio tapes that Michael Cohen has in his possession relating to this president should be released for the public.”
"There are multiple audio recordings, and our position is that they should be released immediately. So again, the American people can decide what the next steps are. Period."

We will have to stay tuned while this whole thing unfolds.
